These summer weekends are turning out to be so much fun. Friday night was “Cow Appreciation Night” at Chick Fil A. If you dressed like a cow, you got a free meal. Well… if you know the Dugdales, you know we like free food! So… the whole crew dressed up for the occasion, headed to “Chicky Fy” (as Elijah calls it) and mooed for our food. Elijah was SO excited about dressing like a cow. He kept asking when it was going to happen. Abigail started mooing as soon as she got her dress on.
On Saturday, we headed out to pick blueberries… something none of us had done before. The best thing about it was that you could eat the blueberries right off the tree! And believe me, Abigail, Elijah and Brian took FULL advantage. The kids didn’t care if the berries were ripe or not… they just ate and ate. We weren’t sure what the experience would be like. Brian really got into the picking. He was climbing all around in the trees trying to find the perfect berries. It took us about and hour and a half to pick 4 pounds of suitable berries… but it was SO worth it.
Brian wasted no time with the berries. He made a cobbler to take to dinner with some friends. Elijah and Abigail played with Joshua and Sarah Cox (thanks Josh and Sarah!) and has a blast! It’s great to be able to hang out with good friends.
