Publix Feildtrip

The kids and I have been going to a weekly playgroup with some families from our church since we moved here last summer. Usually we go to local parks and playgrounds, but because of the summer heat that has arrived, the group headed to Publix for a tour of the store. We had a great time going behind the scenes and sampling some Publix goodies!

Hairnets were required before we could go back to see watermelon being cut up!
The kids kept their hairnets and play with them at home now.

mmm… cheese!

The ladies in the bakery showed off their cake decorating skills. I was pretty proud when Elijah yelled out, “My mom can do that!” They all got a lick of icing before heading off to the meats department.
The field trip ended with goody bags at the checkout area. The kids were thrilled. They felt so special having their own bags and hairnets!
