Abigail’s Birthday

What a day… we had a full day of celebrating with Abigail. I cannot believe she is four. I want to freeze time and keep her just like she is right now. She is so fun and sweet and spontaneous. Seriously though, I can’t wait to watch her grow. I am so glad she is in our family.

The morning began with pancakes and bacon.. the breakfast that Abigail requested and helped prepare.
After breakfast, we skyped with Gammy and Pops and Abigail got to open the new big girl bike they got her for her birthday We headed outside where big brother Elijah gave her some tips on how to ride.
Next, Abigail and Mommy had a nail painting party while Brian and Elijah put together another surprise… a big girl bed!!! Abigail moved out of a toddler bed and into this new fun big girl bed. Thanks to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Michael for the sheets. Here’s the story on the bed… Brian picked up some bunk bed frames from the side of the road a few months back. He sanded and painted the bottom bunk… then I painted butterflies and flowers on it. Someone gave us a twin mattress that they didn’t need and tada… the bed was made! Abigail is thrilled to be in her new bed.
After church, we headed to a park to celebrate with some friends. Abigail’s cake is a “Dinosaur Train Under the Sea”… per her request.
Abigail and her buddy Jayden were pretty excited about the party.
 Patiently waiting to eat cake.
We finished out the day by cashing in on a gift card to Chili’s. This was the first time one of the kids has gone to a restaurant on their birthday. The waitresses sang happy birthday and brought out a huge sundae for Abigail. She had help finishing it! And… they gave her a certificate for a free kids meal… way to go Chili’s!
