The Big Question

Everyone has the same question whenever they see us:

What’s next?

To which we reply:

Good question… we don’t know.

One thing that I have learned over the last few years…. take one day at a time. The Bible says, “do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Today, Brian is working at RTS, Elijah has some school work to do. We have a reception to attend this evening, followed by the senior banquet. Brian will go pick up his sister, Alyson, from the airport tonight.

Our day is full. I have goals to accomplish that pertain to today… laundry, school, phone calls, bills…I have disputes to settle between my three young proteges, mouths to feed… these are today’s worries.

Brian has been job searching. Almost every night he is on the computer filling out applications and sending in resumes. He is making connections when and where he can.

We don’t know what the next step is. Our lease where we are living goes through July. Brian can continue to work at the school for a couple more months. Our supporters have graciously agreed to support us through the next couple of months.

I am sure the job will come. I am sure a move will happen. I am sure God knows the timing. I am only slightly unnerved at the thought of it all…

For now, I’ll take it one day at a time.

And because pictures are fun… here’s tortilla man.. a.k.a Elijah at dinner the other night:
