Mud Bath… Selah Style

Selah does not appreciate the ocean the way the other kids do. In fact, she doesn’t appreciate it at all. At the beginning of the week, I took all three kids to the beach while Brian stayed back to paint. Abigail and Elijah wanted to play in the ocean and Selah wanted to get as far away from it as possible. She grabbed the toys and started walking back to the pool and didn’t care that no one was coming with her.

I made her come a little closer to the waves and play in the sand with me so that I could keep an eye on the big kids. She was finally content once I had dug her a hole and filled it with water to play in.

The next day, Brian took his full size shovel and dug a much more spectacular hole that filled with much more water. Selah was beside herself. She took a little mud bath and waved to anyone and everyone who walked by!

So happy in her muddy hole!
Don’t you just love those cute little toes!
She was letting me know that she was dirty.
But being dirty didn’t stop her from lounging whole hog in her little mud hole. She was so happy until we took her into the ocean to rinse off all the sand.
