I know I’ve already mentioned it, but Western North Carolina is like a giant outdoor playground. So many hiking and exploring options are out there. We found out about an educational state forest that is near by. Free Admission and kid friendly trails.
We got to see the inside of a tree trunk that was around in the 1800s.. the timeline showed how big the tree was at different historical moments… like world war 1 and 2, etc.
Along the trail were “talking trees.” The kids took turns pressing buttons and listening to what different types of trees were in the forest.
Selah was riding fancy in her seat on Brian’s back.
Why are kids so attracted to water? I can’t stand getting wet if I don’t know when I am going to be able to get dry… but these guys just go right in without thinking.
Cheesing it up by the big tree stump! This place is definitely great for homeschooling!
